New Radiant: to start their practice today for upcoming season

Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant Sports Club is to start their practices for the upcoming season on November 6, 2008.New Radiant's general secretary, Niyaz said that their newly appointed coach, Stoikov would be join the practices on 13th November.

"We would start the practices tomorrow and the coach will come 13th November to join the practices"

He also further added that three Bulgarians would also come with the coach and that the details of the players would be provided very soon.

"Three new players would come with the coach. Those players are selected through him".

The new coach's first test will be the Vietnam tournament in which New Radiant is participating. However, Niyaz said a date has not been fixed yet.

"The tournament kicks off on 28th. We are trying to fix a date soon to leave".

New Radiant's appointment in the helm of the club, Stoikov is regular face in the club. Stoikov took New Radiant to the semi final of AFC Cup 2005 with an unbeaten home run and later he was appointed to the coach of national team. But he helped Maldives to reach the final of the first SAFF championship held in Kathmandu back in 1997, his first time as the coach of Maldives national team. Stoikov was also at the helm of Brunei's DPMM FC when Maldives duo Ali Ashfaaq and Ibrahim Fazeel played last year.
